Estimating PM 2.5 based on meteorological parameters using MLR model in Seoul, Korea

We use multi linear regression (MLR) model to estimate PM2.5 using meteorological parameters. MLR model was constructed from 2006 to 2015 and validity of the model was tested for 2 years (2016-2017). All selected independent variables (meteorological parameters) are significantly related to dependent variable (PM2.5). The MLR model can estimate PM2.5 significantly (R2=0.637). In testing period, the MLR model predict PM2.5 significantly (R2=0.663, NSE=0.641). This study implies that meteorological parameter can estimate PM2.5 and MLR model has power of explanation about PM2.5.
